March 2008
Kadarka would like to introduce Jeff as our new bass player. Jeff recently returned to the spotlight after a 17+ year sabatical from playing. When asked why it took him so long to return, he replied "I was trying to forget the trauma of long hair and leather pants of the 80's." His influences include 3 Doors Down, Tool, Godsmack, Rush, Iron Maiden, and Metallica. Early practices have revealed a heavier and solid bottom line to our tunes. Stay tuned for our debut show with Jeff.
November 2007
Kadarka Unplugged released - 14 original acoustic songs performed by Gary and Eric.
September 2007
Be sure to check out the new acoustic project by Gary and Eric called 10 Years Gone in reference to the passing of Gary's daughter, Courtney. Currently in ther studio working on a CD, they should be heading out and playing gigs in the very near future. Be sure to visit their page and become a friend: www.myspace.com/10yg

We're pleased to announce that Kadarka has been nominated in a few categories for this year's Grand Band Slam thanks to your help. Now the real voting begins.
Please revisit www.hartfordadvocate.com, click on the GBS icon to the right of the screen, and follow the instructions to cast your votes. We've been nominated for best original rock, new group, drummer/Justin Pinette, guitarist/Eric Schott, Male Vocalist/Gary Marineau. Don't forget to cast a write-in ballot for Jon Sykes on Bass. For those who've seen him play, you know what I'm talking about. For those who haven't seen us lately (shame on you), he's added substance and energy to our songs and show that is simply awesome. You'll also have the chance to select Kadarka to play the main stage at the GBS.
On behalf of the band, thanks for voting!

Dave has decided to leave the band to pursue other goals. We'd like to wish him the best of luck. At the same time we'd like to announce his immediate replacement, Jon, who brings with him 4-years experience as Tenet's bass player and a refreshing energy that is appreciated by the band. Please help us welcome Jon into Kadarka.

The 5-song EP is almost done. A full 11-song CD, at this point, was simply too expensive for the band to handle. The track list: Stay, Looking For You, Bleed It Out, Visionary, See It In Your Eyes (acoustic). Mastering will take place on April 26th at Peerless Mastering in Boston and we should have the final copies available within a few days after that. In the meantime, a rough, unmastered mix of See It In Your Eyes has been posted on this site and our My Space page. Check it out as a preview and let us know what you think.
